Archusa Water Park, with its 440-acre lake, is situated within the city limits of Quitman. Clarkco State Park, with a 65-acre lake, is located on Hwy 145, approximately 5 miles north of Quitman.
Lake Eddins, located nearby in Jasper County, offers wonderful fishing opportunities to lake-side residents and their guests. Many Clarke County residents own a second home on the shores of this pristine lake, where they enjoy some of the best fishing in the state.
The beautiful Chickasawhay River meanders the the county from Enterprise in the north through Shubuta in the south. One can enjoy great fishing, canoeing, rafting, or sightseeing on this scenic river. A number of boat ramps are provided along the river for public convenience.
